Rainbow Acres Welcomes New Vice President for Development & Church Relations

Rev. Dr. Christine Roush,
Rainbow Acres Vice President for Development & Church Relations

Rainbow Acres is pleased to announce Rev. Dr. Christine Roush has joined our team as Vice President for Development & Church Relations. Chris has a long history serving within the American Baptist Churches in the areas of camping, stewardship development, mission support and church relations. After fourteen years on staff in upstate New York, Chris accepted a position in Oregon where she was Director of Camp Arrah Wanna and Minister of Mission for ten years.

Ordained in 1991, Chris completed a D. Min in Church and the Emerging Culture led by Leonard Sweet at George Fox Seminary in 2008. Her area of focus was stewardship and the impact of consumerism and culture on the church. Chris’s D. Min project was the writing of a small group study exploring the issues of faith and consumerism entitled Swimming Upstream: Reflections on Consumerism and Culture.

Chris brings to Rainbow her passion for spreading the Good News, and for living out Christ’s call to love one another. She and her husband David have two teenage daughters, Kirsten and Megan. If you did not get a chance to meet Chris at October’s Transforming Churches Conference, drop her an email at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
