ADMISSION CRITERIA

The following guidelines are offered to help you determine whether or not our program can meet the needs of your loved one. The applicant must fall under these criteria:

  • 18 years of age or older (although application process may begin earlier);
  • Have a developmental age of at least eight;
  • Have a primary diagnosis of developmental disability or cognitive challenge and have a current psychiatric evaluation to that effect;
  • Be accepting of supervision and direction;
  • Able to meet minimum program requirements;
  • Have the ability to be left alone for short periods of time;
  • Able to ambulate and transfer independently;
  • Free of impulse to take flight or run away;
  • All medical conditions must be manageable;
  • Free of communicable diseases;
  • Free of abuse toward self or others;
  • Capable of basic self-care and activities of daily living;
  • Capable of living in a group setting; and
  • Have a guardianship or conservatorship established.
