Unlike many organizations for the developmentally disabled, Rainbow Acres does not function like a facility for "broken" people. Rainbow was created to empower the developmentally disabled and enable them to lead lives full of dignity and purpose in a community of peers.

Rainbow Acres embraces the spiritual component of life, and this is reflected in every one of Rainbow's programs and activities. Ranchers and staff alike are governed by love and compassion, and are encouraged to enjoy Christian fellowship and advance in their journey with God.
