ELIGIBLE RANCHERS

The following Ranchers are those who qualify for the Adopt-a-Rancher program.  Their profiles are provided so you can learn a little about the Ranchers you may want to support, but for privacy and security concerns, their photographs are omitted.  Should you choose to sponsor a Rancher, you will receive more information about the Rancher you choose or receive.

Tom B. – Tom joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1982.  He enjoys walking around the Ranch and relaxing to movies (his favorite is Batman).  He also likes venturing off the Ranch for a meal at his favorite fast food restaurant – Burger King.  Tom participates in Special Olympics Bowling, Hockey and Baseball, and is a paid employee at the local recycling facility.

Scott B. – Scott joined the Rainbow Acres community in 2001.  He is a member of the Rancher choir, and has performed with them for various churches and organizations around the country.  Scott participates in Special Olympics Golf, and is a big fan of cable home improvement shows.

David B. – David joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1974 and is proud to be one of the first Ranchers!  He enjoys a good prime rib dinner and playing Chinese Checkers with his fellow Ranchers.  David is Rainbow’s resident horticulture specialist.  He works on the Ranch landscaping crew and meticulously cares for his beautiful plants.

Heather C. – Heather joined the Rainbow Acres community in 2000.  She enjoys playing pool and talking to her friends and family on the phone.  Heather participates in Special Olympics Bowling, Golf, Bocce Ball and Swimming, and on the Ranch, she makes beautiful artwork working on the craft crew.

Keith C. – Keith joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1985.  He enjoys riding his bike and watching John Wayne movies.  At Rainbow, Keith helps keep the Ranch safe and secure by patrolling the grounds.  He is also a paid employee at the local recycling facility.

Greg D. – Greg joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1996.  He is an energetic fellow who enjoys exercising, talking with people and praising the Lord at every possible opportunity.  On the Ranch, Greg works on the landscaping crew and trains for his numerous Special Olympics events.

Roberta E. – Roberta joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1983.  She enjoys the TV show Jag and singing in the Rancher choir.  Roberta participates in numerous Special Olympics events, and is a paid employee of the local recycling facility.

Laura G. – Laura joined the Rainbow Acres community in 2003.  On the Ranch, you can usually find Laura spending an afternoon exercising on the stationary bike and walking laps around the Ranch with her friends and housemates.  She sings in the Rancher choir and helps to stock and organize food in the Ranch kitchen.

Vicki J. – Vicki joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1977.  She loves going out to eat, especially at Mexican restaurants, and talking long walks around the Ranch.  She enjoys kicking back and watching her favorite TV shows and movies – her favorite is Little House on the Prairie.

Lori L. – Lori joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1984.  She enjoys playing bingo, reading bible stories and working on the Ranch.  She is a member of the craft crew and helps with bulk mailings.  Lori’s favorite color is purple and she has an abundance of favorite foods, including meat loaf, pork chops, chicken fried steak and chocolate pudding.

Angelina M. – Angelina joined the Rainbow Acres community in 2008 from Prescott Valley, AZ, but is originally from El Salvador.  She works on the Ranch Craft Crew making beautiful items to sell.  In her free time, Angelina enjoys kicking back to watch a little I Love Lucy or Little House on the Prairie.

Michael M. – Mike joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1974, and is proud to be one of the very first Ranchers!  He enjoys a good steak and socializing with friends and visitors to the Ranch.  Mike participates in Special Olympics Bowling and is especially proud of the two gold medals and two silver medals he recently won.  On the Ranch, Mike is an active member of the Rancher choir and is a paid employee of the local recycling facility.

Matt M. - Matt joined the Rainbow Acres community in 2001.  He enjoys sending and receiving mail and writing in almost any form.  To relax, he likes to watch his favorite TV show Bonanza.  On the Ranch, Matt works on the landscape crew and spends lots of time socializing with his fellow Ranchers.

Amber M. – Amber joined the Rainbow Acres community in 2008.  She works hard taking care of the Ranch horses as part of the Horse Crew.  In her free time, Amber enjoys watching reality TV, especially American Idol and home improvement shows on HGTV.

Nancy O. – Nancy joined the Rainbow Acres community in 2005.  She was born in India, and was living there with her family before she came to Rainbow.  On the Ranch, Nancy enjoys learning new things in the Life Long Learning Center, as well as taking longs walks on the grounds.  She enjoys Asian cuisine and white is her favorite color.

John P. - John joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1992.  He likes watching TV and enjoying the view from Dakin house.  John participates in Special Olympics bowling, and is always eager to help his caregiver cook meals for his fellow Ranchers.

Debbie P. – Debbie joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1985.  On the Ranch, Debbie enjoys talking walks with her friends and learning new things in the Life Long Learning Center.  She likes to relax by playing cards and listening to music.  Her favorite movie is Winnie the Pooh and her favorite color is lavender.

Matt R. – Matt joined the Rainbow Acres community in 2007.  He is a paid employee of the local recycling company, and is also a part of the Ranch Greenhouse Crew.  In his free time, Matt enjoys watching Star Wars movies and cheering on the Arizona Cardinals!

Marcus S. – Marcus joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1987.  He is known around the Ranch for his ready smile and willingness to help out.  Marcus enjoys playing Uno and watching the TV show Wishbone.  On the Ranch, Marcus takes care of horses as part of the Ranch Horse Crew.  Marcus also travels off the Ranch, and has joined staff and fellow Ranchers on mission trips to Brazil.

Gordon S. – Gordon joined the Rainbow Acres community in1984.  He enjoys singing and engaging in good conversation with fellow Ranchers.  Gordon likes going on Rancher vacations, especially when they take him to Diamondback baseball games.  On the Ranch, Gordon enjoys watching The Andy Griffith Show and working on the Ranch landscape crew.  He is also a paid employee of the local recycling facility.

Bob S. – Bob joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1978.  He participates in Special Olympics Tennis and works in the Ranch weaving room making beautiful rugs and other items.  Bob is also a member of the Rainbow Acres choir and enjoys touring with them to interesting destinations.

Debbie T. – Debbie joined the Rainbow Acres community in 2004.  She is an active member of both the Rancher choir and the T.E.t.R.A Equine Therapy program.  In her free time, Debbie enjoys watching reruns of The Waltons and eating Mexican food.

David W. – David joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1986.  He enjoys socializing with his fellow Ranchers, especially at Ranch dances.  On the Ranch, David trains often for his numerous Special Olympics events and spends time learning new things in the Life Long Learning Center.  David is also a paid employee of the Cliff Castle Lodge where he helps set up the banquet rooms for special events.

Steve W. – Steve joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1982.  He enjoys outdoor activities like gardening, and works hard as a part of the Ranch landscape crew.  Steve participates in numerous Special Olympics events.  His favorite food is a good hamburger and his favorite color is red.

Susan W. – Susan joined the Rainbow Acres community in 1983.  She is part of the Rancher Choir, and enjoys traveling with them to perform for churches and organizations around the country.  On the Ranch, Susan works in the stepping stone room sorting stained glass by color and texture.  To relax, she enjoys watching her favorite movie – Mary Poppins.
