How you can help! GIVING OPTIONS We try hard to make giving to Rainbow Acres as easy as possible! Your generous support propels our mission forward and enriches the lives of the Ranchers (residents). Please feel free to make an unrestricted gift, or designate your contribution to a specific Rainbow Acres' program. (MasterCard and Visa accepted.) Listed below are some of the available giving options.   Online Giving Rainbow Acres now features the convenience of online giving. Just click on the "Donate Now" icon (to the left), and you'll be able to use your Visa or MasterCard to make a donation to Rainbow Acres. Your transaction will be handled through an encrypted site, providing peace-of-mind that your information will remain safe and secure. Online giving is a great way to show that you care about the Ranchers!   Adopt-A-Rancher There aren't many organizations that would let you adopt a rancher! But we heartily encourage it! Some of our Ranchers find themselves in financial situations that make it impossible for them to fully meet their monthly residence fees. That's where you can help! By "adopting a Rancher," you help make up the difference. When you adopt a Rancher, you receive a personal thank you note from the Rancher and future correspondence from him/her. And if you come for a visit, lots of hugs! Please call 928-567-5231 for details on the Adopt-A-Rancher program.   Automated Giving Plan (AGP) Rainbow Acres' Automated Giving Plan employs electronic funds transfer and allows you to provide a monthly gift that is automatically deducted from your checking account or savings account, saving you time and effort. AGP may be used in the Adopt-A-Rancher program, for other designated gifts/pledges, or for unrestricted gifts. Please call 928-567-5231 for details on AGP.   Donating Vehicles We have recently partnered with ABC Donate, the corporate conscience of CARS Remarketing, Inc. This partnership will allow us to accept vehicle donations, the proceeds of which will benefit the programs offered here at Rainbow Acres. Christian Community Credit Union Membership By joining the Christian Community Credit Union, you not only get a first-rate financial services provider, you also help out Rainbow Acres! Please be sure to mention Rainbow Acres and promotion code GVZ1972.   Planned Giving The first Ranchers took up residency at Rainbow Acres in 1974. Today, some of those Ranchers are still living at Rainbow, enjoying a continuum of care made possible by our loyal and generous supporters.   Perhaps you've assisted our ministry in the past, and would like to do so well into the future. An estate bequest, living trust, or some other kind of planned gift makes that desire a reality. Remembering Rainbow Acres in your will provides a solid and irrevocable testament to your concern and love for the Ranchers. Such gifts can play an important part in guiding Rainbow's financial future, ensuring that our ministry continues to grow strong.   If you are interested in structuring an estate gift for Rainbow Acres, please contact our President's office at 928-567-5231 for details. It will be our honor to explore the many options open to you for such a gift.   Special Note to American Baptist Churches - ABC Institutional Support Status In November of 2000, the National Institutional Support Committee and the World Mission Support Council of American Baptist Churches USA approved Rainbow Acres for National Institutional Support. This new status enables Rainbow Acres to seek the support of American Baptist Churches throughout the country - in all regions - and throughout our entire denominational family.   This means that Mission support credit is now given to your American Baptist Church when it supports Rainbow Acres. (Institutional Support gifts are recorded on Line 8 of the ABC Mission Remittance From.)   Cell Phone Redemption Rainbow Acres has partnered with CollectiveGood to make your old cell phone a potentially valuable gift to Rainbow. You can donate old cell phones to Rainbow several ways. You may visit www.collectivegood.com and follow the instructions for making a donation (you'll find Rainbow listed under "Domestic Aid" organizations and in the alphabetical and regional listings). Or you may send old cell phones to Rainbow. Either way, the redemption value of your phone will help Rainbow, and your old phone will either be reused or recycled. (Get your friends, church groups, and co-workers in on the act, too!) Please be sure you have fully deactivated the service for any phones you donate!   AZ Charitable Tax Credit If you’re an Arizona resident, you may be able to utilize the The Charitable Tax Credit (that assists the working poor) to benefit Rainbow. This tax credit allows you to direct up to $400 (if filing as married - up to $200 for single or head-of-household filers) of your total Arizona income tax liability to a qualified charitable organization, like Rainbow. To take this credit, use Arizona tax form 321 when you file your return and send the credit amount you want to claim directly to Rainbow Acres.   There are certain eligibility requirements that must be met to take this credit, so please consult with your tax advisor to make sure you are eligible. This tax credit donation is tax deducible on your federal return ONLY if you itemize deductions on Schedule A.   (The information presented here does not represent legal advice or tax advice. For full details, please consult a tax expert.)   Shopping Promotions And every time you grocery shop at the stores listed below you can help Rainbow Acres! Register your appropriate shopper's club card using the numbers below, and Rainbow will receive a percentage of the cash value of each purchase you make!   Safeway/Vons: Go to www.escrip.com and use #798754 for Rainbow Acres Adult School. (Please renew your registration every September.)   You can also register your credit/debit cards at eScrip. Every time you use one of your registered cards at a participating merchant, Rainbow benefits! Visit escrip.com for additional details about how the program works and for a list of participating merchants. Use the same number as above (798754) to register one of your credit/debit cards so that Rainbow benefits.   Employer Matching Gift Programs Did you know that if your employer has a "matching gifts" program, you might be able to easily double, or even triple the impact of your gifts to Rainbow Acres?   Many companies will match dollar-for-dollar your gifts to Rainbow! (Some will even double them!) Please take the time to ask the personnel or human resources department where you work if your company has such a matching gifts program in place. If they do, please have them send Rainbow Acres the necessary paperwork so the Ranchers can start to benefit as soon as possible from matching gifts.   Please note that some programs also will match gifts from retired employees, so even if you're no longer working, please check with your previous employers. Some programs also match gifts from spouses!   Every program works a little differently, but it all adds up to an easy way to provide Rainbow and the Ranchers extra support! If your company has no matching gift program, please suggest the idea to them!
