Caregiver – (full or part-time positions available)

Professional Responsibilities

The Rainbow Acres Caregiver is uniquely positioned to “empower persons with developmental disabilities to live to their fullest potential with dignity and purpose.” Duties may include:

  • Providing personal care (general grooming, bathing, prompting)
  • Performing light housekeeping
  • Preparing occasional meals or escorting to community dining hall
  • Administering medications as prescribed
  • Performing intermittent transportation services
  • Providing friendly, caring companionship

Minimum Professional Requirements

  • 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Driver license issued by the State of AZ
  • Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening and qualify for a Level 1 security clearance
  • Able to work nights, weekends or holidays if necessary
  • Able to achieve the Caregiver Certification required by the State of AZ
  • Able to attain CPR/First Aid certificate and the Food Handlers Certificate
  • Possess basic math skills, be computer literate, and able to follow detailed instruction

Additional Ideal Qualifications

  • Three years’ experience in a related field providing assistance
  • Graduate of the Caregiver Certification program
  • Have reliable transportation

Professional Responsibilities

The Rainbow Acres night watchman is positioned to protect and serve persons with developmental disabilities as they live life to the fullest in a safe and regulated environment. Duties may include:

  • Providing a watchful eye over the parameters of the Ranch,
  • Fulfilling the need for an alert, awake employee through the night-time hours,
  • Protecting the Ranch from any casual trespass,
  • Directing emergency vehicles to the location of an incident,
  • Providing friendly, caring companionship

Minimum Professional Requirements

  • 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Driver license issued by the State of AZ
  • Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening and qualify for a Level 1 security clearance
  • Able to work nights, weekends or holidays if necessary

This individual will serve as a coach and companion to a small group of Ranchers living in independent apartments. Professional Responsibilities

The Rainbow Acres Guidance Specialist is uniquely positioned to mentor and coach persons with developmental disabilities encouraging them to live life to their fullest potential and to maintain healthy life skills.  Duties may include:

  • Encouraging personal care (general grooming, regular bathing)
  • Coaching the care and housekeeping of apartments
  • Encourage healthy eating habits
  • Performing intermittent transportation services
  • Providing friendly, caring companionship
  • Organize interesting outings on Saturdays

Minimum Professional Requirements

  • 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Driver license issued by the State of AZ
  • Able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening and qualify for a Level 1 security clearance
  • Able to work nights, weekends or holidays if necessary
  • Able to attain CPR/First Aid certificate and the Food Handlers Certificate
  • Possess basic math skills, be computer literate, and able to follow detailed instruction
